  • Basalt Prom & Wedding Limo Planning Checklist

Prom nights and wedding days run on tight timelines. This checklist from Basalt Limo helps Basalt families and couples plan the ride early and avoid last-minute stress.

    Prom and Homecoming

We drive students from Basalt High School, Aspen High School, Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale, Glenwood Springs High School and other Roaring Fork Valley schools.

    • Book 6 to 8 weeks ahead for prom weekends
    • Prom and homecoming bookings have a 6-hour minimum
    • One parent signs the agreement and gets the chauffeur’s phone number
    • No alcohol or smoking on board, ever
    • Confirm the pickup list, photo stops and drop-off time in advance

    Weddings

We drive couples and guests to ceremonies and receptions across Basalt, Snowmass, Aspen, Carbondale and the riverside and ranch venues of the Roaring Fork Valley, with a stretch limo for the couple and Sprinters or coaches for guests staying in different hotels.

    • Book 3 to 6 months ahead for spring and summer Saturdays
    • Plan pickups for the bridal party, the groom’s party and guests
    • Popular photo stops: the Roaring Fork and Fryingpan rivers, Basalt’s historic Midland Avenue or Mount Sopris views
    • Add a guest shuttle if people are staying at different hotels
    • Build in 15 minutes of buffer between each stop

  • Basalt Airport Transportation Guide: DIA and Nearby Airports

Getting to the airport from Basalt is easy when you plan the timing and the vehicle. Here is a simple local guide from the Basalt Limo team.

How Far Is the Airport From Basalt?

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is usually about 25 to 30 minutes from Basalt and Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) about 75 minutes. Denver International Airport is roughly 3.5 to 4 hours away by I-70 and Highway 82, longer in winter storms. Always add extra time on Friday afternoons, holiday weeks and snowy ski weekends.

    When Should You Leave?

    • Domestic flights: plan to arrive at the airport about 2 hours before departure
    • International flights: plan for about 3 hours
    • Early-morning flights: book the night before so your driver is confirmed
    • Group trips: allow 10 to 15 extra minutes for loading luggage, skis and boards

    Which Vehicle Fits Your Trip?

    • Black sedan: up to 3 travelers with normal luggage
    • Black SUV: up to 6 travelers, room for more bags
    • Sprinter: 10 to 14 travelers, families and teams
    • Mini bus or motor coach: wedding guests, teams and big groups

    Tips for a Smooth Pickup

    • Send your flight number so we can track delays
    • Share a phone number that will be on during travel
    • Tell us about car seats, extra luggage or ski gear when you book
    • For return trips, we confirm the meeting point before you land
